The queeruption handbook to Sex`parties!
Dear You !
At the last queeruption in tel aviv , we had the inspiring idea to create a Zine in which we could reflect on our sex parties. Sex`parties have been a central event in all the past queerution , sometimes creating powerful times and spaces and meets, sometimes felt like an obligatory ritual and sometimes being even worse than that !
Last August , we had a post - sex party meeting and thought it was time to put some effort together and create a zine that would bring our voices together , telling each other why we want a sex party , or why not , what has been good in them , or what has been plain wrong ...We had the feeling that some errors were repeated every years , and we think , now that Queeruption is reaching number 10 , that we can change this , and create better sex parties ... And , even in the case , this zine wasnt chaniging anything , at least , we would hear from each other !!!
So here are a few ideas that you could work on :
tell us about a sex party you ve been , queeruption or not, how was it ? did you get what you wanted ? More ? Did the colour of the sheets separating the trans-boi-vanilla room from the play piercing for bio-bi-girls was a real turn off ? which colour then ?
tell us about your ultimate sex party fantasy ? what would it be >?
Want to be more down to earth ? write about the limits of this type of events , why it should be more open or more closed ...loud music ? alcohol? Incense or hard tekno ? Why does it have to be in the evening ? And can a sex party really be a party ?? Feeling safe is a common issue we hear about sex-positive spaces ..how can we achieve this goal , without restricting the individual freedom of our fellow perverts ?
Thats just a few ideas , and all contributions are welcome!
We would like to have printed this zine for the next queeruption so we are waiting for your contributions til end of june !The Deadline for texts are end of may: that gives you 3 month ! take some time to sit down and share with us your feelings and thoughts about this topic ! We re dying to read from you ! text can be signed with real names or pseudo or left anonymous .

Fri, March 2, 2007 - 6:28 PMThere was one notable exception: at the 2001 Queeruption in the San Francisco Bay Area (of all places NOT to have a sex party?!?!?) - there was no sex party event, primarily because finding a space accessible to those with mobility issues could not be done with the resources we had ... and in fact, someone in the collective ended up making such a terrible and hideously informed suggestion (they said "oh, we can just carry those people who are in wheelchairs up the stairs" which is *wrong* on soooo many levels...) that people like me were very angry and i very nearly cut my ties with the event over this. in the end, however, the other people who spoke up along with me against this injustice were the ones who kept me involved.
I am not in a place to do it myself, but I would encourage those who are experienced in accessibility to contribute to the sexparty handbook zine. i think there is a great benefit to the Queeruption community as a whole by expanding our thought and activism to insure that *all* are included, and *all* who care to participate not only have access, but feel safe in that access.

thanx for your mail..that s exactly the kind of contribution we were looking for . If you feel like it , you could write a little something and we would put ii in the zine. we want to make this zine a bit like an "educationnal "tool , because we thought errors were being repeated through the years and some stuff , did need to be repeated .. Unfortunately for now i had one answer fom you and another one one my mail box
so it s not much .. maybe it can be done as a workshop in vancouver where i wont be ...
